Role Summary/Purpose: There is a critical need to add 1 Electrical Design Engineer-Embedded Firmware to support the WAVE platform. This would be more of a strategic approach to develop a dedicated team which will take care of stabilizing the current WAVE product line as well as focus on NPI’s.

Essential Responsibilities-      
Join the team of Life Sciences, India as Design Engineer. Responsibility includes hands on working on the Firmware development projects for LS.
Hands on working on the IDEs, In-circuit emulators & cross compilers for 8/16/32 bit Microprocessors/controllers/DSP/Mixed signal processor based Firmware development projects which will include the complete design cycle (SDLC).
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Implementing device inter/ intra communication protocols (CAN/USB/I2C/SPI/UART etc).
Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, manufacturing introduction and service support.

Requirements-
A minimum of 6-9 years industrial experience in design and development and has participated in full product design cycle (SDLC).
Strong knowledge on Firmware development using assembly/C programming language.
Good knowledge on Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and DSPs architecture and device interfaces.
Experience in using standard tools for embedded system development (ICE, emulators, debuggers, simulators, Logic analyzer etc.).
Good knowledge of Analog and Digital Electronics. Exposure to power electronics/motion controls will be an added advantage.
Experience in device drivers development & firmware testing.
Exposure to global quality & regulatory standards.
Problem solving skills to assess design alternatives and perform tradeoffs to determine designs or functionality that best meet needs.
Experience in SDLC documentation to comply with ISO and European standards.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be a self-starter.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.

Global project experience.
Green Belt/Black Belt Certified.
